Taiwan

Finally back in s'pore!!!

It's great to b back at home after being away in taiwan for 2 wks.Tis is e longest period of time i've been away frm hm.As much as i missed hm alot,i wish i got more time 2 tour taipei more,which is somethin i'll say later.

Before i left s'pore,a lot of ppl told me tat it's quite cold at tis time of e yr.But during e next few days,it's almost jus as hot as in s'pore.Nt much of a diff.It onli started gettin cold n rainy during last sat n sunday,jus like wat a taipei taxi driver told me n my frens 'winter is comin'.

I can't realli tell wat i do for e last 12 days or else SAF is goin 2 charge me(wait until ord,den i blog all bout it).However,e last 2 days is more memorable.

Sat:
Left e camp in e morning 2 go 2 liu fu theme park,1st destination for R&R(rest n recreation).Actually,it was my 1st time goin 2 a theme park,so dere's alot 2 expect n b sua ku about.The 1st ride i took was something like a lift.One has 2 sit in e ride where u'll b taken 50 m up in e air n suddenly fall 2 e ground.It was super scary n real fun.I'll put e photo nxt time.Nxt is e viking ship n my last ride is called e ring of fire.That ride is realli sick.It's a coaster ride but mus go round n round a circle rail.Luckily i nv vomit or faint...hehe.

After e theme park,we headed straight 4 hotel in taipei.On e way,e tour bus brought us 2 buy some native products.For me i bought 2 boxes of sun biscuit.When we arrived,it was ard 6pm liao n it took me n my frens 1.5 hrs 2 hurry 2 shilin night market.There r lots of gd buys n gd food ard tat area.Hehe...i bought 1 t-shirt n ate stinky tofu wif e bros.The tofu realli stinks,nt jus in smell but also e after-taste.But it taste gd,ironically...heehee.Near e shilin mrt station,we also played 2 games dere n won a dice(nt those small ones lah!!).After all e shopping n eating n firing e pistols,we went back 2 e hotel wif a full stomach n some stuffs.

Sun:
Me n my frens woke up in e morning n head 2 taipei 101 via metro trains.In taipei,normal train rides will nd u 2 buy plastic chips 2 go thru e ticketing gates.Pretty interesting.The stations r veri well ventilated,maybe too well ventilated.30 mins,we reached taipei 101 n went up the tower.Taipei 101 is currently e tallest buidling in e world at 449.2 m n e lifts r e fastest in e world also.The lifts took jus 37 sec 2 reach 2 89th lvl frm e 5th lvl.Overall,it is an architectural n engineering wonder.The final destination after taipei 101 is ximenting,taipei's orchard road.Ximenting was super crowded wif shoppers n fans coz dere's some boyband holding autrograph session.We had a hard time going thru e crowd but it was worthwhile coz we shopped what we wanted at bargained price,onli 4 me.I wished dere would b abit more time,so tat i can buy watever in my shoppin list.However,ximenting is a mus-go place if one comes 2 taipei.After tat,we went back 2 e hotel n head straight 4 e airport.The rest is history

Uncertainty

That's the line i've always see when my fren send his email attachment 2 me during poly times.It holds true esp during such a time when u see everyone being uncertain bout hw e financial situation unfolds.There's so much bad news bout e financial market tat it hogs almost all e page in the main straits time section(by the time,i post tis it would b sat).Most likely,we will feel its full effect nxt yr when all these spill over 2 e real economy,our job,salary etc....As for me,am quite concerned bout whether i can even get a job after i ORD.Another things am also quite concerned is over my finance for overseas study coz dere's been a veri long delay in getting e money.There's a real chance tat i've 2 alter my plans n move 2 Plan B,which something am nt willing 2 do.

But jus nw,tis verse came 2 my mind when i was flipping thru a book someone gave me long ago.Then i flipped thru e bible n saw tis verse in 2 peter 1:2

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

It reminded me who shld we take comfort frm,who we shld take a firm grip on as things moved in2 greater uncertainty and who we shld trust in.It's nt jus enough 2 noe who's we shld take comfort frm,but we shld believe tat Jesus died on e cross n rose again on e 3rd day 2 free us frm sin n 2 give us abundant life thru relationship wif God.As we know him more n more,we can b assured tat wif him in control everything will b fine,no matter hw bad things may turn out jus like wat is said in romans 8:28

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,who have been called according to his purpose.

Tat's y christians can b at peace n b confident despite of current situation.But we have a choice to take tis promise of peace n grace as shown frm e 2 words "be yours".These 2 words describes of e hope tat e writer,Peter,had for his readers 2 make e choice 2 claim God's promise of peace n grace.So let's hav e faith n courage 2 make tis choice ba....

Final day of ATT C(sick leave)

My ATT C is goin 2 run out soon liao.So today will be the day where i'll b doin watever i nd to do like surfing e net like no tml,watchin anime like no tml,do my mini-revision...etc

Ytd,i've managed 2 download S.H.E and jay zhou's new albums.Actually,i was intending 2 buy their album at popular bookstore or HMV.But i somehw found a download link ytd nite while wondering ard e online(yeah...wondering like a zombie :-) ).It was quite amazing,but lil guilty at e same time.So if u wan 2 download,jus tell me n i'll post e link here.

Anyway i'll b back tis friday...cheers!!

Twisted ankle

wat a time to write a post!!Hopefully i won't get myself injured by e time i write e next post...Yet coz of it,i got lots of time 2 update n keep tis blog of mine alive...hehe.

Last wk,i've twisted my ankle again.Yes,again for e 2nd time.It happened when i was at e low ramp for e SOC.During tat time when i was running towards tat ramp,i spotted lots of holes below e ramp.I got a bad feeling bout it but i still jumped n e rest is history.After booking out,I was hopping like crazy to move ard since i can't use my left foot 2 stand,let alone walk.But thank gdness i went 2 TTSH(tan tock seng hospital) to see a doc.The diagnosis is nt too serious,jus "ligamental strain".I also got a pair of crutches since i can't put my left foot on e ground n walk.The crutches realli realli saved me,if nt i gotta hop ard e hse like a hse bunny.OOps...nt like e one u see on movie ok...lol.But anyway i feel tat ankle is gettin better n better.

Anyway tis is one of e many post am goin 2 put up tis wk to make up for lost time.So 別れ!!(farewell in japanese)
