Final day of ATT C(sick leave)

My ATT C is goin 2 run out soon liao.So today will be the day where i'll b doin watever i nd to do like surfing e net like no tml,watchin anime like no tml,do my mini-revision...etc

Ytd,i've managed 2 download S.H.E and jay zhou's new albums.Actually,i was intending 2 buy their album at popular bookstore or HMV.But i somehw found a download link ytd nite while wondering ard e online(yeah...wondering like a zombie :-) ).It was quite amazing,but lil guilty at e same time.So if u wan 2 download,jus tell me n i'll post e link here.

Twisted ankle

wat a time to write a post!!Hopefully i won't get myself injured by e time i write e next post...Yet coz of it,i got lots of time 2 update n keep tis blog of mine alive...hehe.

Last wk,i've twisted my ankle again.Yes,again for e 2nd time.It happened when i was at e low ramp for e SOC.During tat time when i was running towards tat ramp,i spotted lots of holes below e ramp.I got a bad feeling bout it but i still jumped n e rest is history.After booking out,I was hopping like crazy to move ard since i can't use my left foot 2 stand,let alone walk.But thank gdness i went 2 TTSH(tan tock seng hospital) to see a doc.The diagnosis is nt too serious,jus "ligamental strain".I also got a pair of crutches since i can't put my left foot on e ground n walk.The crutches realli realli saved me,if nt i gotta hop ard e hse like a hse bunny.OOps...nt like e one u see on movie ok...lol.But anyway i feel tat ankle is gettin better n better.

Anyway tis is one of e many post am goin 2 put up tis wk to make up for lost time.So 別れ!!(farewell in japanese)

Humongously long........

Today is an off day.
A timely distraction frm the usual boring deployment life in jurong island.
A fleeting glimpse of what's to come 11 mths later

Jus nw i went back to SP for a little while to see if i can get my course handbook.I nd it to apply for module exemptions when am applying for aussie uni.It feels realli nostalgic going back to SP for there are many memories made there.Passing by the library,CLS building brings up lots of memories where i used to carry survey forms as a step to bring people to christ,as well as studying like no tomorrow during those days.But it's didn't get e handbook today.Heck it.

After tat,i went to e library to borrow a bk.Gonna bring it to jurong island to pass some time.It's called tale of genji.It's written uber long time ago n e moment i read e 1st few pages,i noe it's goin to b a challenging read.

But tis wk is one crazy wk,there's so much conflict in my section.Simply becoz one person wants all e benefits at e expense of others (can't write it in detail coz saf could b watching it).It has been goin on for many wks ever since tis deployment began but finally stopped 2 days ago.Hopefully,he noe his mistake n change.Hopefully.....

Hmm....i tink tat's all i hav for nw...adieu!!

Countdown and CSB

With e 2nd yr coming,i realised am nt blogging as often as i used to.There will b more outfield during my 2nd yr like taiwan trip n maybe,jus maybe,ATEC stage 1.But anyway i'll try to update as often as possible though i might b tired.

Finally i've got 361 days left to ORD :-) Many of my platoon mates have started counting
down nw.ORD ORD....pls let it come faster!!!

Tis wk has been a ICSB(individual combat skill badge,e one on e left) wk.For the past few days,i've been doin all those refresher course on e weapons etc.....Then the real deal of hell starts 2 days ago when we set out to tekong 4 e final tests:completing 32 km route marcharound pulau tekong in 6 hrs,passing all the weapon tests and using SAR21 to get at least 5 hits out of 10 shots at 100m range.


During the whole route march,many of us were simply walking n walking n walking n walking,somemore at a quick pace.It was totally energy-sapping.But during the march,all of us were trying to help one another in many ways like pulling one another along,carrying another.I rmember tat after we've reached our 8km mark.I was tested on grenade launcher,which was the easiest but the most difficult if one fumbles thru.Even though it was pretty dark,we were asked to strip the launcher.Somehow me n rafi(my sect 2IC) did it in double-quick time and the rest of e test is history.After the test we had to march again.When we reached the range in the morning,i was totally tired out.But somehow when it comes to shooting,i hit more than 5 shots.The rest again was history,jus to keep a long story short.

During the whole journey,the route march displayed the best side of human character when we are all facing trouble.Trying to cheer each other on,encouraging one another tat we can all do it and carrying each other's burden etc....During tis whole ICSB journey,since last mth,i've witnessed God's grace upon me.Never in my wildest thought did i tink tat i can walk e 32km though my leg is really "chui".But God realli gave me strength thru people's words,action n his presence when am walking.To get e badge,i also nd to get IPPT silver.But i nv realli did tink i can get silver until i seriously tried.Overall,it's been quite an incredible time.It's something i'll nv do in reservist service ever again(thank goodness :-).It's also a memorable story to tell coz it's nt by individual strength or skill tat i can get tis badge but it's thru everyone's help n God's grace tat it's possible :-).

It's May

Hi all...i've been out of action from my blog for a mth liao.Many things have flashed pass me since then.So many things to tell yet so little time.Oh tat's coz am goin 2 my CG devotion very soon.

I rmb tat i said i won't b taking my route marches n ICCT(intermediate close combat training) here.Tat became half-true becoz i had 2 take my ICCT lessons n test.During those lessons i learnt quite alot of arm locks(so watch out or i'll give u a "friendly" lock....heehee) n ground fights.It was quite fun but veri tiring as everyone gets thrown ard.What's amazing is tat i've been doin all these wif a bandaged toe :-) (i wonder hw....) When e final test came,i managed to pass it :-).It's a wonder.

Another piece of gd,n maybe nt so gd,news came by.During may(on deployment n it's still on),i received e rejection letter frm NTU again.But at e same time,something tat i've been praying for a veri long time happened:financial means for overseas study.My dad told me tat my uncle is willing to provide e financial means for me n my younger bro for overseas study after a very long discussion.There comes e next question,where to go??

Hmm...time is almost up...mus b goin then....adios!!

Chilling out wif a bandaged big toe

Yeah tat's wat am doin nw....jus sitting on my chair n listening to beethoven's piano piece.N yeah u guessed it rite,blogging :-)

In case u've been wondering hw am able 2 blog on wed,at a time when am supposed to be in camp nw.i didn't go on AWOL or anything like tat but am on MC tat's y.

I've got an in-grown nail since my BMT and i left it untreated until tis wk when i tink is e best time 4 me to seek treatment.When i saw my camp's MO(medical officers,btw they r gd souls :-) )last friday,they told me my toe got some slight infection.Initially,i was hesitant bout e treatment(by removing e nail)coz it means i've to miss route marches n ICCT,only 2 retake at a later date.But i decided nt to take any chances wif e toe,so i decided to remove it.Before removing my nail,they told me e "risk" involved in tis...such as pain like hell n bleed like there's no tomorrow.LOL.But no kidding,all of it came true.Actually my bandage dressing is nt as neat as tis,the medics initially wrapped my foot up until i look like a "war hero".But in e end,common sense prevailed n they wrapped it like tis :-)

N so i've been on MC since last friday.When i first got hm,i took a little nap coz i felt very drained wif all e bleeding.After waking frm e nap,i ate my dinner wif my parents in e dining rm.My heart was deeply touched as i take bite after bite.Only then i realised tat it's been a long time since i've ate my dinner at hm.N i realli missed home-made dinner,over all outside food n definitely cookhse food.Nothing beats home-cooked food.Perhaps....jus perhaps,NS helps me to appreciate n cherish e every little thing tat counts.

On sunday,i went out wif yu fang after service.She's a gd fren during poly times.It's been a few mths since i've caught up wif her.We ate at northpt sakae sushi for dinner n chatted for quite a awhile.After tat,we went to GV yishun n watched definitely,maybe.It was an "ok" average show but wif an interesting concept behind e story.But nevertheless,it's been a great time together wif her.

Long time in the coming

Time seriously flew past my eyes since i've enlisted


If i count with my fingers,it's been a while 10 mths since i've enlisted.Hmm...n it's also 2 mths since i've updated my entries.Many things happened during e past 2 mths.MSK escape,eugene came back to our platoon etc......Btw i also moved into a new hse at yishun.It's nt realli tat big since it's a 3 room flat.But i kind of like it coz it's got a homely feel to it.I wish i could show e photo of my hse but i haven't got any time left to do so(coz i gotto bk into camp soon).But i'll put it up nxt wk when i come back.

Well anyway i'll b back nxt wk for more.......tata!!!
